Ashe Construction appoints new board members – Jan 2012

Following the company’s busiest year ever, Hertfordshire-based Ashe Construction announces three appointments to its board.

Ian Robbins and Sheridan McKnight have been appointed special works directors. The duo established the division in 2003 and since then have built it into a £26m operation.

Robbins joined Ashe in 2000 and worked in site-based management before moving to the company’s special works division. He has been instrumental in the success of over 150 framework projects and will lead special works operations from the company’s headquarters in Hitchin.

McKnight joined Ashe in 2001 with a background in quantity surveying and along with Robbins has had a major influence on the achievements of Ashe’s frameworks through organisations such as Smarte East and EMPA. McKnight has recently established the company’s new offices in Lutterworth, Leicestershire from where he will lead Ashe’s operations in the East Midlands.

Also appointed to the board is Neil Blake who has been with Ashe since 2000. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building, he becomes deputy managing director and will head Ashe’s customer care team and assist his brother – managing director, Robin Blake with long-term development plans for the business.

Our new directors bring experience, energy and enthusiasm to the board which I am confident will enhance the service we provide for our clients.”
