Visit to Red Kite Academy

Despite the wet weather, it was all smiles at Red Kite Academy as Ashe welcomed prospective students, teachers, and school staff to visit our innovative live construction site.

The visit was to give the children an opportunity explore their new school whilst it’s still being built and before they occupy the school in September. The project comprises the design and build construction of a new £7m Special Educational Needs school and is situated in Corby, Northamptonshire. Using SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) the school has flown up despite the appalling weather conditions encountered since the start of the year. Ashe were happy to present the wide hallways, and spacious classrooms, as part of the tour of the new school facility. The students were even treated to displays from members of the construction team in the projects tele-handler and excavator. All in all a great day that will help embed the students into their new school environment.

With the project scheduled for completion ahead of the September school year, the Ashe team are working hard, despite the wind and rain, to deliver this unique scheme!
